Review: Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Spot Corrector

Not sure how to describe Clinique's Even Better Eyes Dark Spot Corrector.  Is it skincare or is it makeup? If you say it's skincare, it has color. If you want to call it makeup, it's really used as an eye cream. I first tried it in one of those small packet samples and loved the texture so much that I decided to buy the full size.

Chinese New Year is all about the bright reds so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and sport a bold red lip today.  This Le Metier de Beaute Colour Core Lipstick in Riviera came in my first LMdB Beauty Vault VIP box, sadly I never even tried it since I always shy away from bright colors.

LMdB March 2014 Beauty Vault VIP Box - Peau Vierge Correcteur Concealer and Ultra Hydration Eye Mask Duo

The March box was the sole reason I was even interested in the LMdB brand!! The brand offers one of the most expensive under eye concealer on the market - the Peau Vierge Correcteur Concealer at $95! And guess what? To my utmost surprise, this little baby was in the box! It's also the first time the subscription box included a complexion product (everything else so far were color or skincare). I'm also very happy that they had included one that is in my shade (in Medium).  I've read that they actually try to send out a lighter shade for those with fair skin tones.  They also included one pair of their Ultra Hydration Eye Mask Duo (retails at $150 for 8 pairs). Total value of the box is an unbelievable $113.75!

Reveal: Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP September Box

After last month's super value beauty box, I couldn't help but do a mini countdown to see what awaits in the September box. And this month's box did not disappoint either. It arrived promptly at my doorsteps within the first week of September and that's only because we have Labor Day early this year.

The September box came in the same luxurious black gift box with a handwritten note from the cofounder. =)  I like how personal these packages are.  And I can foresee myself building a collection of these gift boxes!

Review: Le Metier De Beaute Beauty Vault VIP - August Box

I recently announced that I jumped the Le Metier De Beaute Beauty Vault VIP subscription bandwagon. It's a monthly subscription box from the brand itself. Only catch is you have to pay the $348 subscription fee for a 12 month commitment. Which isn't so bad, when you divide it out, it equates to $29/month for deluxe sample size or full size products and new launches from the luxury brand. Though sign ups are limited to the month of July, I think they might be considering additional signups if you email their customer service directly.

Without further adieu, I present you, the August box! It definitely did not disappoint!
