Event: Viktor & Rolf BONBON Eau de Parfum Launch Party @Saks

I can't believe how lucky I was after casually replying to an old @Saks tweet on why I would want to meet Viktor & Rolf. I already own their signature fragrance Flower Bomb and knew they were coming out with a new fragrance. But what I didn't know was that simple reply got me a ticket to meet them in person AND be part of their launch party at Saks!

I arrived at 6PM after being stuck in NYC traffic, but that was okay, because Viktor and Rolf just arrived and I was able to walk in with them at the same time!

After reaching the Saks PR team, I was ecstatic to know that I actually won a FULL SIZE BOTTLE of the new BONBON fragrance! And to top that off? Walking to the front of the line and getting it autographed by the designers themselves!

I only wish I was a little more prepared so that I could sneak in a better picture with them. Oh well, this was a lot more than what I could have asked for anyway.

After grounding myself with my new goodie, I was finally able to take in the rest of the party. There was a live DJ playing music right there in the middle of all the beauty counters. Caterers were walking around with caramel candies and sales were passing around paper bows infused with the new Bonbon fragrance.  The floor was also decorated with podiums of the perfume bottle display. And of course a constant crowd around Viktor & Rolf.

Here's the goodies that I bought home with me.

And yes, I did bring home a 1.7oz bottle worth $115! Along with ultra sweet caramel candies.

Now time for a quick review. The new Bonbon fragrance comes in a bow bottle and is said to be infused with sweet fruits and flowers on top of wood and caramel.  The bow bottle looks so gorgeous, I can't wait to display it on my vanity!

As described, Bonbon has a very sweet rich creamy scent. Although I own Flower Bomb, I've always thought it was a more matured fragrance. But Bonbon is completely different, even though it smells really rich with a hint of wood, its sweetness makes it a fun yet sultry scent. Perfect for date night. =)

And I'm still swooning over the autograph. I love how Rolf signed the bottle first and left just enough room for Viktor to sign.

Anybody else tried their new fragrance?

P.S. Thank you to Saks Fifth Avenue once again for offering this wonderful opportunity! Click here for more pictures of the event on their Facebook page.
